Meet
Emile Whyte, CPP
The visionary Founder and CEO of EW Payroll Consulting LLC holds 100% ownership.

As a highly accomplished and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) — a prestigious credential from Payroll.Org (formerly American Payroll Association), the leading global payroll education and support agency — Emile brings unparalleled expertise to the firm. His distinguished career, spanning over two decades, includes comprehensive planning, management, and oversight of daily payroll operations for diverse organizations, encompassing both for-profit and non-profit sectors, domestically and internationally.

Emile’s profound expertise, honed as a Director of Payroll at BAYADA and Payroll Manager at Allied Universal, ensures precise taxation and regulatory compliance across numerous U.S. states, including experience overseeing employees in all  states and managing complex global payrolls spanning the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. He meticulously aligns payroll systems with evolving federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. He is instrumental in policy development, adeptly drafting and implementing new company policies in response to legislative changes, and providing critical interpretations of the Fair Labor Standards Act to Human Resources departments.

His proven track record includes developing and executing strategic process improvements and establishing robust internal controls, including those vital for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, as demonstrated through his roles at Comcast Cable and Allied Universal. Emile demonstrates exceptional proficiency in responding to audit inquiries from various governmental authorities and skillfully negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers. His responsibilities have consistently involved rigorous testing of tax releases and system upgrades, as well as generating crucial payroll data for budgeting and forecasting, thereby driving optimal operational efficiency.

A testament to his vast capabilities, Emile successfully managed an annual payroll of $6.5 billion for 325,000 employees at Allied Universal, notably achieving the seamless integration of payroll systems for two major security companies. He also significantly boosted company revenue by $1.2 million annually by moving garnishment processing in-house. Furthermore, his experience as a 401 (k) administrator at Connexin Software Inc. involved managing over $8 million in assets.

Emile graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, underscoring his academic excellence. Committed to continuous professional development and operational distinction, he has led impactful training initiatives at major U.S. employers to educate personnel on legislative tax changes and best payroll practices. In addition to his CPP certification, he holds a Taxpay certification from Paychex Inc., where he spent over 14 years in various leadership roles, including Payroll Supervisor/Client Services Supervisor and New Client Specialist/Taxpay Coordinator, developing proficiencies in client retention strategies and quality assurance testing. He is also a distinguished member of the Canadian Payroll Association, reflecting his broad industry knowledge and international perspective.

In the short term, Emile will remain the key personnel for EW Payroll Consulting. However, he has access to a strong network of payroll professionals who can be engaged as independent contractors if specialty expertise is needed. Over the next five years, the goal is to establish a small team capable of expanding extensively into the HR space, given its significant growth potential. In the short term, EW Payroll will focus on developing a client-centric reputation.
